or fine-pitch LED?

Distinct from the legacy flip-disc / dot-matrix LED signage covered on the Platform overview — here the competitor is the modern fine-pitch LED video wall.

A concourse wall is large enough that two architectures compete for the same surface: a tiled LCD video wall and a fine-pitch LED wall (pixel pitches around P1.2–P1.8). Both fill the brief; they differ on the things operators feel over a decade.

Seam vs seamless

LCD leaves a bezel seam — our tiled classes run 0.44–1.8 mm, with 0.44 mm reading as near-seamless at hall distance. Fine-pitch LED is genuinely seamless, which only matters when content crosses the seam continuously (live video, wide maps).

A failed LCD panel is a whole-panel swap (rear access, or front-service pop-out frames). A fine-pitch LED failure is one front-serviceable module — but the wall carries millions of diodes, so it accrues more individual failure points over time.

Frequently asked

01 What happens if one tile in the wall fails?

The remaining tiles continue to function normally. With standard daisy-chaining or matrix controllers, the signal routes around the failure. The failed panel can be replaced independently.

02 Can these displays be front-serviced?

Yes. By mounting the displays on specialized pop-out brackets, individual LCD panels can be pushed in to release and pop out, allowing front access for maintenance without dismantling the whole wall.

03 How do you manage color uniformity across so many screens?

Our panels are factory-calibrated for tight color matching. During installation, fine-tuning tools allow integrators to balance white levels and color temperature across the entire array for a uniform canvas.

04 What are the power requirements?

High-brightness panels consume more power than standard commercial displays. We recommend dedicated, isolated circuits for large walls, often backed by a UPS for continuous operation during minor power fluctuations.

05 Do you provide the mounting structure?

We supply the displays and can recommend compatible third-party mounting systems (like pop-out brackets). Structural engineering for the wall itself is typically handled by the local integrator or principal contractor.

06 What is the expected lifespan?

Industrial-grade LCD panels are rated for 50,000+ hours to half-brightness under 24/7 operation, making them suitable for 5-7 year refresh cycles in transit environments.
