Outdoor Totem Displays Built for
Station Forecourts
Three jobs, one footprint.
A transit totem guides passengers, shows live service information, and earns advertising revenue — all from a single freestanding unit at station entrances and forecourts.
The display that works outdoors
An outdoor totem is the most exposed display in the network: full sun in summer, rain and road spray in winter, and a constant stream of hands, bags, and weather. It does three jobs at once — wayfinding, live service information, and advertising — all from a single freestanding unit at station entrances and forecourts.
RisingStar is a hardware OEM/ODM. We manufacture the display hardware — the sunlight-readable LCD panel, the sealed and thermally managed enclosure, and the optically bonded front glass. We do not manufacture LED signage; our totems are LCD.

Built for the public realm
2,500–5,000 nits
Bright enough to stay legible at noon. Ambient-light auto-dimming saves energy and avoids night-time glare.
IP65 / IP66 sealed
Dust, rain, and pressure water jets. Sealed against the worst weather the station forecourt sees.
IK09–IK10 anti-vandal
Impact-rated front glass resists deliberate damage, graffiti, and constant public contact.
−30 °C to +70 °C
Thermal management with heaters for cold start and controlled ventilation for summer. Stable through extreme seasonal swings.
Optical bonding
Eliminates air gap — no internal fog, lower reflection, stable contrast in humidity swings.
Open integration
HDMI / LAN / 4G-5G. Connects to your existing CMS for remote content management.

Frequently asked
Everything you need to know about specifying outdoor totem LCD displays for transit and public spaces.
01
Are they readable in direct sunlight?
Yes. 2,500–5,000 nits with optical bonding and anti-glare glass. Ambient-light auto-dimming for night operation.
02
Can they survive harsh weather?
IP65/IP66 sealed, IK09–IK10 impact-rated, −30°C to +70°C operating range. Built as street furniture.
03
Can we manage content remotely?
Yes. Open interfaces — HDMI / LAN / 4G-5G — connect to your existing CMS for remote content management of wayfinding, departures and advertising.
04
What certifications apply?
CE / RoHS / FCC certified, ISO 9001 certified, with IP65/IP66 and IK09–IK10.
05
What about warranty and working life?
Standard warranty is 3 years, backed by long-cycle after-sales: we repair by module or board rather than replacing the whole totem. Working life depends on several factors — the LED backlight, the panel, driver electronics and the duty environment among them; the backlight is rated up to 50,000 h (L50), roughly 5.7 years at 24/7. Our units are rated to an MTBF of 50,000 hours, based on our reliability test data.
