A carriage door header display is a long, narrow information screen mounted in the beam above each passenger door. Its job is simple and constant: show the next stop, the line, the destination, and surrounding service alerts where every boarding and alighting passenger is already looking.

On modern rolling stock the unit is a stretched-bar LCD — a wide, short panel with an aspect ratio far from the familiar 16:9. Sizes typically run from 19" to 43", with widths matched to the door beam rather than to a catalogue.

A ceiling display keeps the whole carriage informed between stops; the door-header display is where the boarding and alighting decision is made. As the doors open, every passenger checks the same thing — is this my stop, which side opens, where do I transfer. The door header sits at the exact point of entry and exit and carries the next-stop, door-side, and transfer detail in the shortest, most-read line a passenger sees.

01 Do you supply the passenger information software?

No. We supply the display hardware. The unit connects to your existing PIS controller and CMS through open interfaces.

02 Can the display be sized to a non-standard door?

Yes. Width, aspect ratio, and single- or double-sided build are set per project through OEM/ODM from your vehicle drawings.

03 What rail certifications apply?

Designed and type-tested to EN 50155, EN 45545-2 and IEC 61373 (Category 1); CE / RoHS / FCC and ISO 9001 certified. Vehicle-level type approval is completed by the system integrator.

04 Does it work with our existing CMS?

Yes. Standard interfaces and M12 I/O let the display drop into an existing loom without re-platforming the PIS.

05 What is the warranty and working life?

Standard warranty is 3 years, backed by long-cycle after-sales: modules and boards are field-replaceable, so a fault is repaired in place rather than by replacing the whole unit. Several factors shape working life — the LED backlight (rated up to 50,000 h, L50), the panel, driver electronics and the duty environment among them — not the backlight alone. Our units are rated to an MTBF of 50,000 hours, based on our reliability test data.
